This is the nesting wand assembly for Sanitaire 5800 Series uprights, part 7750529, and it comes with the crevice tool. Nesting means the sections telescope into one another and stow on the machine rather than hanging off it, which is the arrangement that keeps a commercial upright tidy between rooms.
Wands walk off. On a shared machine they get borrowed, left in a stairwell, or snapped when the vacuum tips over with the wand extended, and a cleaner without one has no way to reach a corner or a vent. Sections that no longer nest properly are almost as bad, since they rattle loose and end up on the floor anyway.
The assembly is listed for the 2961AVZ, 2991AVZ, 2993AV and 2999AVZ, and for the C5712A, C5712A-1, SC5713B, SC5713D, SC5745B, SC5815E, SC5845B and SC5845D in both Sanitaire and Eureka badging.
