This bag tube spring for Eureka and Sanitaire uprights (Part #460SP) is an OEM replacement spring fitting Eureka and Sanitaire models 1950A, C2094B, C4047A, SC688, SC888M, SC888N, and SC889A. It maintains tension in the bag tube so the bag stays seated on its mount.
When the spring weakens or breaks, the bag can loosen or shift on the tube, which breaks the seal and lets dust leak while suction drops. A fresh OEM spring restores proper tension and keeps the bag held firmly in place.
