The cleaning roller is the working surface of a HiZero Bionic Mop, the part that touches the floor, lifts the dirt and takes up the spill in the same pass. This is the genuine HiZero roller, part P9300005101-D, for the F801 and F803.
Rollers are consumables and they fade rather than fail. The floor stays wetter behind the machine, streaks appear where there were none, and a roller that used to come out grey now comes out barely marked because it is no longer gripping the surface. Compacted material at the roller face is usually what is behind it.
It fits into the cleaning head in place of the old one with no tools needed. Keep the machine's own roller-cleaning routine going in the meantime, since it noticeably extends the life of the new one. Check your model is an F801 or F803 before ordering.
