Hoover SteamVac Brush Speed...

Product details

This brush speed indicator knob, part 38421092, is the replacement control knob for the Hoover SteamVac. It is the knob you turn to set brush speed, and the marker on it is what tells you which setting is dialed in.

Once the knob cracks or the pointer breaks off, there is no longer a clear way to read which speed is selected, and it becomes easy to run the brush faster or slower than the carpet calls for. A replacement knob restores a solid grip on the control and a clear view of the setting.

  • Part: 38421092, brush speed indicator knob
  • Fits: Hoover SteamVac F6019900, F6020900, F6020910, F6020920, F6021900, F6022900, F6023900, F6024900, F6024960, F6025900, F6026900, F6027900, F6028900, F6030900, F6040900, F6055900, F6056900
  • Function: sets and shows the selected brush speed
  • Sign of wear: a loose fit on the control, a cracked face, or a broken pointer that no longer lines up with a setting

Match your model number against the list above before ordering. It is also worth checking that the control turns smoothly with the old knob off, since a knob that keeps working loose can be a sign that what it mounts to is worn rather than the knob itself.
