Three genuine Kirby style 2 paper bags, part 190681S, for the Heritage I upright. Style 2 is the bag this machine was designed around, so the collar matches the adaptor and the bag hangs correctly inside the outer cloth bag.
Paper bags are the filtration you replace rather than clean, and how you use them decides how the machine performs. A bag that is allowed to fill right up chokes airflow long before it looks full, which shows as weak pickup and a motor working harder and running hotter than it should. Changing at around two thirds is the practical rule.
The three-pack covers a normal household for a stretch without reordering. Just as important, the correct collar seals against the adaptor; a bag that is close but not right lets fine dust past the mouth and straight into the outer bag.
