SEBO Return Spring for the ...

Product details

When the power button on a SEBO 370 presses in and stays there, the spring behind it has given up. Part 1862 is that return spring, and it does one thing: it pushes the button back out after every press so the switch resets cleanly between on and off instead of sitting somewhere in between.

A tired spring gives plenty of warning before it fails outright. The button rebounds slowly at first, then needs a fingernail to pick it back out, and eventually the switch is left half-engaged with the machine responding unpredictably to the control. None of that is a fault in the switch itself, which is why replacing a whole switch assembly on these symptoms is usually more work than the job needs. The spring is one of the smallest items in the entire machine and it puts the proper feel back at the button.

The spring is listed for the 370 COMFORT and the ELECTRONIC 370, in one version rather than a choice of finishes, so the only thing to confirm is the model. Getting at it means removing the lens and switch cover, which is a small job in itself and the reason these parts are so often ordered together. If the button and the spring are both sound and the machine still starts unpredictably, the fault has moved past the mechanism and into the board behind it.

  • Fits: SEBO 370 COMFORT and ELECTRONIC 370
  • Function: returns the on/off switch button after each press
  • Replace when: the button sinks in and stays down, rebounds slowly, or the machine responds inconsistently to the switch
  • Part number: 1862, sold individually
  • Related: 1935ER circuit board with switch, 1869HG lens and switch cover, 1852HG wand side cover supplied with the button

Reaching the spring means lifting the switch cover, so it makes sense to combine the work with anything else due at the top of the machine. A shopper searching for a SEBO 370 power button spring, an on/off switch return spring or a 370 COMFORT switch repair part is looking at the right number. Genuine SEBO spare, shipped in 2-5 business days.
