Product details

Dust escaping at the lid of a 370 Comfort or an Electronic 370 usually leads back to a single gasket beside the cover release. That gasket is SEBO part 6040, and it seals the opening in the body panel that the release has to pass through, keeping working air on the route the machine was built around.

  • Part number: 6040
  • Machines: SEBO Electronic 370 and SEBO 370 Comfort
  • Role: closes the housing where the release comes through
  • Supplied: one gasket per order
  • Parts around it: front cover release 1818GS, front cover 1846HG, release button 1884HG
  • Filtration on the same machines: pre-motor microfilter 1875, exhaust filter 1878, filter bags 5093AM
  • Preparation: scrape hardened residue out of the groove before the new seal goes in

Rubber hardens with heat and time, and this piece lives right beside a joint that is opened for every bag change. Once it has gone brittle or torn, two symptoms turn up together: the nozzle loses draw because air is entering where it should not, and a fine grey film gathers along the outside of the shell near the latch. Neither points obviously at a gasket, which is why this part is normally reached only after the bag and the filters have already been renewed to no effect.

A new seal pulls the closure tight and the machine goes back to drawing all of its air through the bag where it belongs. Owners find this listing searching for a SEBO 370 seal, an Electronic 370 cover release gasket, or a SEBO 370 Comfort dust leak repair part. Genuine SEBO part supplied by an authorized dealership, dispatched in 2–5 business days.
