Not every home needs a motorised brush roll. The FELIX 4 Kombi pairs the compact FELIX chassis with a combination nozzle that switches between carpet and bare floors, and this version is finished in cream and burgundy over an 11.5 inch cleaning path. (SKU 9826AM)
Skipping the power head keeps the machine lighter at the floor and removes a belt and brush motor from the service list, while the switchable nozzle still handles rugs and runners between hard floors. The hose and wand detach for stairs, skirting boards and upholstery, and dust goes into a sealed bag rather than a bin that has to be emptied by hand.
A combination nozzle is the sensible answer where the floors change every few paces. One setting is meant for carpet and the other for bare boards, tile or vinyl, and the switch is on the head itself, so the surface underfoot dictates the setting rather than which tool happens to be attached. Nothing about that arrangement is fragile, which is part of the appeal for a machine expected to stay in service for a long time.
Colour is the only difference between this SEBO FELIX 4 Kombi and 9825AM, which wears orange and purple. Households with wall-to-wall carpet will get more out of a driven head: the FELIX 1 Premium comes with a 12 inch ET-1 as 9804AM or 9806AM, and the FELIX 2 Premium, 9813AM, widens that to a 15 inch ET-2 for large rooms.
