Tool-free brush bar removal on the SEBO G1 depends on this release: the latch on the cleaning head that unlocks the roller so it can be lifted straight out. Part 5713TK is the replacement for it, and with a sound one fitted, clearing wrapped hair or changing a brush bar takes seconds and no screwdriver.
That easy access is not a convenience feature so much as a maintenance strategy. SEBO designed the head to be opened often, because a brush roll bound with hair and thread agitates carpet poorly, drags on the belt and loads the motor for no return. When the release seizes or snaps off, the quick job turns into a fight, and most people simply stop doing it, which is exactly how a roller ends up so wrapped that it barely turns and the belt begins to slip against it.
A new release restores the access the machine was designed around, and it goes in without dismantling the head. Where age has finished off the latch, it is worth treating the repair as a small service: the roller comes out anyway, so the bearing seats can be wiped, the belt inspected and the brush strip checked for flattened bristles while everything is accessible.
