Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

A bag door that springs open mid-clean, or one that has to be pressed hard before it stays shut, usually comes down to a worn catch rather than a warped housing. Part 5082GS is the gray black latch holding the dust bag compartment closed on the earlier AUTOMATIC and ESSENTIAL uprights.
The catch matters more than its size suggests. A compartment that is not drawn fully closed leaks around the door, and any air entering there is air not being pulled through the floor head, so pickup falls away even with a fresh bag fitted. Owners often replace bags and filters twice over before they think to look at a part this small, which is why it is worth checking the latch first when suction has dropped without an obvious cause.
Two things sit next to it and fail in similar ways. The bag housing itself is part 5214HG in light gray and dark gray, and the front cover for these same four machines is 5805SE in light gray. If the door is closing but the machine still leaks air, the housing is the next thing to look at. Inside the compartment, the bag holder is 5324 and the safety catch is 5360.
