This is a 7.2" cup-style vacuum motor gasket (Part #P1257B), a universal replacement seal that fits between a 7.2-inch diameter vacuum motor and its housing or motor bracket. Unlike a flat gasket, this is a raised cup-style seal designed to cradle the motor and form a tight air-seal that prevents suction loss and air leaks.

A worn, cracked, or hardened motor gasket is one of the most common causes of reduced suction in central vacuums, canister vacuums, and wet/dry units.
