This is the Domel suction motor for the Advance Comfort Pak 10 backpack vacuum, part 1471109500. It also fits the Adgility 6XP and 10XP, and the same machine sold as the Nilfisk and Clarke Comfort Pak 10.

Backpack motors live a hard life. They run for hours at a stretch, they get carried, and they pull through a filter bag that operators do not always change on time. When one is on the way out you get a burning smell at the exhaust, a rising howl or grinding from the housing, suction that fades as the unit warms, or thermal cutouts that shut the machine down mid-shift.

Motor replacement means stripping the housing and reconnecting mains wiring, so it is a job for a technician or an in-house service department rather than a first repair.
