Product details
Part 845621A covers the wall opening around a Canplas CanSweep sweep inlet in an almond finish, the plastic ring that hides both the cut in the baseboard or toe-kick and the pipe fitting sitting behind it.
Nothing about a trim plate affects suction or performance; people replace it because it looks worn. Almond plastic ages unevenly against newer cabinet finishes, corners chip when a mop handle or a chair leg clips them, and kitchen renovation work tends to mark them up long after the inlet itself went in. Buying the ring on its own avoids pulling a functioning inlet just to freshen its edge.
The trim ring sits over the inlet valve and does not touch the plumbing behind it, so swapping it is purely cosmetic, not a repair to the vacuum system. A sticking or non-latching inlet valve underneath the plate is a different part and a different problem from a cracked or faded ring.
This is the almond finish specifically, so hold the part number against what is already on your wall before ordering rather than matching from memory. Almond reads close to white and to bone under kitchen lighting, and the difference only becomes obvious once the new plate is mounted next to the old cabinetry. Measure the opening the old plate covered as well, since a replacement ring has to be at least as large as the cut it is there to hide.
