This compatible replacement brush roll (part #10-1600-02) fits the Dyson DC07 and DC14 uprights. The brush roll spins across the carpet to agitate fibers and lift embedded dirt into the airflow.

As the bristles flatten, break off, or wrap with hair, the brush roll stops grooming carpet and the vacuum glides over dirt instead of pulling it up. Worn end bearings can also add drag and noise. Fresh bristles at the correct height restore thorough agitation and pickup.
