The bearing stud (Part #R12093) is a replacement brush-roll support for the Rainbow PN-2E and PN-2 power nozzles. It carries one end of the brush roll and lets it spin freely on its bearing inside the nozzle.
A worn or damaged stud lets the brush roll wobble or bind, which shows up as uneven agitation, noise, and patchy carpet cleaning. If the roll no longer spins smoothly or rocks during use, the stud is a likely cause. A fresh stud steadies the brush roll so it turns true and grooms the carpet evenly.
