Kirby part 145679A is the belt lifter lens for the 3CB Tradition, the transparent window set into the lifter that lets you check the drive belt at a glance.

Old lenses cloud over. The plastic yellows, hairline cracks spread from the edges where the holder grips it, and eventually a piece works loose. None of that stops the machine, but it does mean you are checking belt condition by feel instead of by eye, which is how a belt gets run until it snaps mid-job.

The lens presses into the lifter holder without tools, so this is a two-minute repair on a machine that is otherwise apart for a belt change. It is specific to the 3CB Tradition lifter, so match your model badge before ordering.
