This is the genuine Bissell left retainer / nozzle clamp, OEM part number 89910. The retainer clamp secures the cleaning nozzle to the body of the vacuum, holding the nozzle assembly firmly in place so the brush roll and suction path stay properly aligned to the floor.
When this clamp cracks or loses its grip, the nozzle can wobble, rattle, or pull loose, which leads to lost suction at the floor and uneven cleaning. Installing a fresh left retainer restores a tight, rattle-free seat for the nozzle.
