This is the genuine access plate for Bissell Swivel Rewind upright vacuum cleaners, fitting models 3195, 3196, 3197, and 3198. The access plate is the bottom panel that covers the brush roll and belt area on the cleaning head, allowing you to remove it for brush roll cleaning, belt changes, and clearing tangled hair or fibers.
On Swivel Rewind uprights this plate is opened regularly for maintenance, so its tabs and latches wear over time. A cracked or loose-fitting plate can rattle, fall off mid-use, or fail to hold the brush roll seated correctly. A fresh access plate restores a secure, snug closure.
