Product details

On a Bissell TurboClean upright, the dirty water tank is what keeps recovered water and debris separate from the clean solution supply. This cobalt blue tank assembly, part 164-1206, is the complete recovery unit that mounts on the machine.

Bissell lists it for the 3738, 3745, 3746, 3748 and 3748N. A worn tank generally fails one of two ways: the seal goes flat and stops holding suction, or the tank body stress-cracks at a corner from being emptied and reseated hundreds of times. Either problem shows up as reduced pickup and carpet that stays wetter than it should after a pass.

  • Part: 164-1206 dirty water tank assembly
  • Fits: Bissell TurboClean upright, models 3738, 3745, 3746, 3748 and 3748N
  • Color: Cobalt blue

Match your TurboClean's model number to the list above. Part 164-1206 fits only the models named there.

Press the seal between your fingers before you order. One that has gone stiff, or that refuses to spring back after you release it, will not hold suction even when the tank body still looks undamaged. Then reseat the tank and confirm it locks all the way down, since a tank sitting slightly proud of its mount is a common cause of suction that comes and goes mid-pass.
