This genuine Bissell float door is the small hinged cover that seats over the float mechanism inside the recovery tank of Bissell deep-cleaning carpet machines. Working with the float, it helps form the seal that shuts off suction when the dirty-water tank reaches capacity, preventing overflow and keeping water out of the motor.
This float door fits Bissell Deep Clean models 7N4 and 36ZP, as well as ProHeat models 66Q4, 73A5, and 9500. A missing, cracked, or warped float door can let the tank overfill or cause inconsistent suction, so replacing it restores proper operation.
