Bissell Handle Assembly Teal for Disco Uprights 1785, 2211W Series

Part 160-9659 is the upper handle assembly for Bissell's 1785-series uprights, supplied in Disco Teal to match the trim on the machines it fits. It is the section you take hold of to push, steer and recline the vacuum.

Bissell lists this handle across the 1785 series and the 2211W. On any upright, the base of the handle carries more load than any other moulding on the machine, and it normally gives some warning before it fails: a little side-to-side movement that was not there before, a click as the machine is laid back, or a grip polished smooth where the hand sits.

If the looseness is where the handle enters the body rather than in the handle itself, a new handle will not settle it. Hold the upper section in one hand and the body in the other and work out which of the two is actually moving before you order.
