The black receiver assembly, Bissell part 2035553, is the fitting on a QuickSteamer Lightweight Deep Cleaner that the hose or wand locks into. Solution and recovered water both pass through it, so it has to seal under suction as well as under pressure.
When the receiver cracks or its seal perishes, the machine loses vacuum at the attachment before it ever reaches the tool, and the hand tools go weak or stop lifting water at all. A receiver that no longer grips will also let the hose drop out mid-pass. Both faults get read as a failing motor, which is why this small part is worth checking first.
It fits the QuickSteamer 1770, 1970, 2080 and 2090, the 76R9, and the 1770C, 1970C and 2080C upright extractors.
