Part HS6000B finishes a Hide-A-Hose 6000 PRO inlet in black. What arrives is the working door assembly rather than a decorative plate: the finish door with its low voltage switch, four screws and two spade connectors.
That low voltage switch is why this piece matters beyond appearance. It is the contact that tells the power unit to run when a hose goes into that inlet, wired through the two spade connectors supplied with the kit, so a damaged door is not only untidy, it can be an inlet that no longer starts the system reliably.
Magnets hold the 6000 PRO door shut, pressed in from behind the face so a child cannot work one loose, and the door seats against an enlarged sealing surface on the valve. Check that seal on an older installation before replacing anything else. A door standing slightly off the face bleeds air every time the vacuum runs, and the loss is spread across the whole system rather than confined to the room it is in.
Confirm the wall thickness at the valve before ordering. The standard door trims out to one inch of finished wall, and anything thicker needs the three quarter inch door extension, which glues to the door and can be stacked when the wall calls for it.
