This is a replacement brush roll for the Bissell PowerForce PowerBrush Pet XL carpet cleaner, stocked as part 1626475 and listed against the PowerForce 3109 in black and green.

The roller is what turns a carpet cleaner from a wet vacuum into a scrubber. As the bristles wear down, flatten or break away, the machine stops agitating the pile and simply wets it, so ground-in soil and pet hair stay where they are no matter how many passes you make. Thread and hair wrapping the shaft make it worse, adding drag until the roller barely turns.

Check the model number on the base of your machine before ordering. Bissell used several rollers across this family and they are not interchangeable.
