Brushroll assembly, part C412-1700, for the Steward broom vacuum from Riccar and its Simplicity counterpart, the Pixie. These are slim broom style machines, and the roll is the only moving part in the head, so it absorbs all of the wear from carpet, thread and pet hair.
The signs of a spent roll are familiar enough: bristles too short to reach into the pile, a squeal from a dry end, or a brush that stalls the moment it meets resistance. A new assembly brings back the sweeping action, not just the suction.
