Power Switch Button - Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind Upright

The power switch button for Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind uprights, part 1620838. It is the pad you press to start and stop the machine; it transmits that press to the switch mounted behind it and is the only part of the switch circuit you ever touch.

Buttons wear at the pivot and at the face. Once the plastic has worn or a return leg has snapped, the press no longer travels far enough to work the switch cleanly — the machine starts intermittently, needs the button held, or stops responding altogether. That reads like a dead switch, but often the switch behind it is fine.

This button fits the Bissell 2252, 2253, 2254, 2256, 2258, 2259, 2260, 2316, 2739, 22547 and 22549. Unplug the machine before opening the housing to fit it, and check the switch underneath while you are in there.
