This replacement Dyson pre-motor filter (Part #F626) fits the Dyson DC19, DC20, DC21, and DC29. It seats between the bin and the motor, catching the fine dust that slips past the primary cyclone before it can reach the motor windings.

A pre-motor filter slowly loads with trapped debris, and a clogged one starves the motor of airflow. That shows up as an overheating motor, weaker pickup, and sometimes a machine that cuts out mid clean. Fitting a fresh filter returns the airflow the motor was built to pull.
