This OEM carbon brush set (Part #833503-52, also cataloged as #833503-54) is made for a family of Ametek Lamb vacuum motors and ships as a two-pack. The brushes conduct current to the motor armature and wear down with normal running.

Sparking at the motor, weaker suction, intermittent power, or a burning smell indicate the brushes have worn short. Replacing them in time keeps the commutator intact and the motor running at full power.
