Part B012-0600 supplies the felt seal used across the Carpet Pro commercial line and the related machines built on the same Tacony platform, closing the gap around the nozzle assembly. That thin strip of felt is what forces every bit of air the motor pulls to travel up through the carpet pile, rather than sneaking in around the housing joints where it does no cleaning work at all.
Once the felt flattens permanently, tears, or drops out entirely, the machine develops a leak with no obvious symptom pointing at it. The hose still pulls strong suction, the bag checks out fine, the belt runs true, and yet the carpet stops coming up clean. That mismatch, a machine that tests healthy but no longer cleans, is the telltale sign of a lost seal, worth checking on any older upright that has quietly lost performance for no clear reason.
