Carpet Pro Pedal Shaft - Ca...

Product details

Set low at the rear of the nozzle housing, right where the handle joins the body, part B020-0300 is the pivot pin the handle-release pedal rocks on. It replaces the original fitted to a CPU-2T commercial upright from Carpet Pro and a wide range of machines sharing that same platform, including select Riccar uprights built around a matching handle mechanism.

Tilting the machine back to walk it forward, or standing it upright again between rooms, loads this pin over and over across a full workday, far beyond the cycle count a household vacuum would ever rack up in its lifetime. Once it wears or bends, the pedal loses its crisp feel or stops latching altogether, and the handle either refuses to recline on demand or will not lock upright when released, which is usually the moment the vacuum starts tipping over between passes on its own.

A new shaft brings back a firm, audible click at the pedal and lets the handle hold its position reliably in both directions, recline and upright alike. Daily commercial use puts this joint through far more cycles than a household machine ever experiences, which explains why it tends to wear out well ahead of most other parts on a unit running a regular route.

  • Part: B020-0300 pedal shaft
  • Function: the pivot the handle-release pedal turns on
  • Fits: Carpet Pro CPU1QD, CPU2T, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N and CPU4T, Fuller Brush FBMMPWCF4, FBPHD2 and FBPHD2T, Titan T4000.2, and Riccar 8900, 8905, 8920 and 8925

Worth fitting before a loose pedal lets the handle drop unexpectedly mid-use.
