Part C352-2800 is the on/off switch supplied with its wiring harness for the Carpet Pro SCBP1 backpack. The same assembly fits the Powr-Flite PF300BP, PF600BP and PF1000BP backpacks.
A switch that has been through thousands of cycles misbehaves in recognizable ways: the machine cuts out at random while you work, it needs the switch wiggled before it will start, or it keeps running after you have switched it off. Because the harness comes with the switch, you replace the connections as well as the contacts, which is worth having, since a burned terminal on the old harness will make a brand new switch look faulty within a week.
Unplug the vacuum before opening the housing. It is one of the more straightforward electrical repairs on a backpack machine.
