Carpet Pro Nylon Washer - T...

Product details

This is a small nylon washer, part A732-6500, used in the hardware stack on the Titan TC6000.2 commercial upright and a short list of related commercial machines.

It fits the Carpet Pro CPU1QD, CPU3N and CPU3QD, the Maytag M700, and the Titan TC6000.2. Washers like this one keep a fastener seated at the correct depth and stop an assembly from working loose under vibration, and on a commercial machine that runs for hours at a stretch, a missing or worn washer is often the reason a panel rattles or a fastener backs out over time.

Nylon is used here rather than a metal washer specifically because it will not gall or seize against the fastener the way metal-on-metal contact can after repeated tightening and loosening during service. That also means a nylon washer wears out rather than corrodes, so the failure mode to watch for is compression and cracking with age rather than rust, and a washer that has gone brittle will often crumble at the edges when it is finally removed for inspection.

It is a cheap part to keep on hand during any service work on these machines. Small hardware like this has a habit of rolling off a workbench mid-teardown, and its absence is often the reason a panel goes back together looser than it came apart.

  • Part: A732-6500, nylon washer
  • Fits: Carpet Pro CPU1QD, CPU3N, CPU3QD, Maytag M700, Titan TC6000.2
  • Function: spaces and seats a fastener in the hardware stack
  • Replace when: a panel rattles or a fastener will not stay tight during service
  • Keep on hand: small hardware like this is easy to lose mid-teardown and hard to improvise
