Small part, specific job: part A430-0405 is the washer that sits under the upper cord hook on the Fuller Brush HD series and the Carpet Pro uprights. It spreads the load of the hook against the housing so the fastener does not bear directly on plastic.

Without it the hook goes loose and starts to rotate under the weight of a wrapped cord, which is how cord hooks end up snapping off and how the plastic around them cracks. If your hook swings when you wrap the cord, the washer is usually missing or flattened.
