Product details

Not every job calls for a full gallon of shampoo, and part 90724-06S is the smaller Stain X size built for exactly that: a stair run, a doormat area, or one traffic lane rather than a whole house. Keeping a smaller bottle on hand for occasional touch-ups also means less product sitting opened and going stale in storage between jobs.

Follow the mixing or use directions printed on the label rather than adding extra for what feels like a deeper clean. A heavier mix does not pull more soil out of the pile; it leaves behind more residue once the moisture evaporates, and residue is what grabs new dirt fastest, making a carpet look worn again within days of being cleaned.

  • Part: 90724-06S
  • Size: 24 oz
  • Mixing: follow the dilution or use directions on the label
  • Use: spot and small-area carpet cleaning

Run a vacuum over the spot before treating it. Loose grit left sitting in the pile just turns to mud the moment it gets wet, since shampoo is formulated to lift soil that has already worked its way down into the fibers, not grit resting on top. Extract the moisture back out thoroughly with the machine once the pass is done, and hold foot traffic off the spot until it has dried completely through rather than merely dry to the touch on the surface.

Store the bottle upright with the cap sealed tight, since a partially used bottle left on its side in a service kit is a common way for concentrate to seep out and stain whatever it sits against. Shake the bottle before use if it has been sitting for a while, since cleaning solutions can settle slightly in storage.
