Riccar and Simplicity canisters with the full-size power nozzle drive the powerhead's brush roll off a belt, part B350-2514, also sold as CPB100, 42066 and PVB. The nozzle's own motor turns it. It fits the Riccar Prima in all versions — R50FSN, R50SS and R50TAP — the PRIMAP.FSN, the RPB-250 and 260.4, the RPB 100S, 220S, 224S, 226S.4 and 300S, and the Simplicity WONDERP.FSN.
Canister owners often miss a failed powerhead belt for weeks, because the machine still sounds right and the hose still pulls. What has actually happened is that the roller has stopped turning, so carpet is being vacuumed without agitation and the pile stays flat and grey.
Put a hand near the nozzle: if there is no vibration from the roller, it is the belt. Keep a spare with the machine.
