Product details
When a Eureka or Beam central vacuum stops responding to its switch, part 102038 replaces the board that runs the switching electronics inside the power unit.
These boards run the switching logic between the wall control and the motor. A board on the way out shows up as a unit that will not start, one that shuts off mid-clean, or one that starts and stops on its own without anyone touching a switch. Because the fault sits in the electronics, the motor, canister, and household piping are not affected and need no attention.
- Part: 102038
- Fits: Eureka/Beam central vacuum systems
- Function: handles switching for the power unit's motor
Cut power to the unit before removing the old board, and match your existing part number closely, since central vacuum boards are not interchangeable across every power unit.
Before replacing the board, check two easy things first: that the unit has power at its outlet, and that the switch wire has not come loose where it connects at the wall plate. If power is present and the wiring is intact but the unit still does nothing, the board is the likely culprit rather than anything upstream of it.
