A failing board rarely announces itself as one clean symptom. It can keep the nozzle from powering up at all, cut the motor mid-room, leave the switch doing nothing, or produce results that change with the angle of the neck. Those same symptoms can just as easily come from a loose wire or a worn switch, so trace the wiring and test the switching before assuming the board itself has failed.
