Clean Max Pivot Bushing - B...

Product details
Where the handle pivots against the base on a Clean Max ZM800 or Titan T500 battery upright, a small black bushing absorbs the friction of every recline and every steering motion. Sized closer to a washer than a bearing, it is what keeps that joint turning smoothly instead of grinding plastic against plastic on every pass across the floor.
Play shows up in the pivot well before anything actually breaks. The handle starts to feel loose near the base, may bind partway through a recline, or develops a faint knock when the machine changes direction. None of that stops the vacuum from running, but it does change the feel of the machine on every single pass, and it speeds up wear on the mating plastic once the worn bushing stops cushioning the joint properly.
Because a pivot bushing wears gradually rather than failing all at once, it is easy to keep using a machine with a loose, knocking handle for months without realizing the underlying part has worn through to the point of needing replacement. Part B220-4414 is molded black to match the original bushing, and the same part also fits the Maytag M500, which shares this pivot assembly with the Clean Max and Titan platform on this generation of machine.
