Foam post filter for CleanMax Standard Series uprights, ordered as part CMS-PF. It sits on the exhaust side of the motor and traps carbon dust and the fine grit that gets past the bag, so the air leaving the machine is cleaner than the air the fan just moved.

A loaded foam element fails quietly. Airflow drops off a little at a time, the motor runs hotter than it should, and most owners change the bag two or three times before anyone thinks to check the exhaust side.
