Product details

Hoover's PortaPower canister filters through a reusable cloth bag rather than a paper one, and part 228 is the complete shake-out bag assembly that replaces it. It covers the PortaPower C2094 and C2094-010, the long S1015 family, the S1017, S1029, S1049, S1055, S1061, S1063 and the S1075 through S1079 machines, plus the CH30000.

A cloth bag earns its keep for years, then starts to fail quietly. The weave clogs with fine dust that shaking no longer clears, so suction falls away; then a seam splits or a small hole opens and the machine begins puffing dust back into the room instead of holding it. On a commercial machine emptied daily, both arrive sooner.

The new assembly mounts the way the original did. Empty it and shake it out between jobs and it will hold airflow for a long stretch.
