This is the power cord assembly for Compact and TriStar canisters, the A101 (EXL), MG1 and MG2, sold as part 70965 and also catalogued as 70209. The cord is black and finishes in a 90-degree bend at the plug end. The angle protector that used to ship with it is no longer included.

Cords on canister machines get run over by the machine they power. The jacket splits behind the strain relief first, then a conductor breaks inside, and the vacuum starts cutting out whenever the cord is moved. Exposed copper anywhere along the run is a stop-now fault rather than a wait-and-see one.

Our fitment data also lists this assembly for the Tri-Star 5200. Unplug the machine and let the motor stop completely before opening the housing, then route the new cord the way the old one sat so nothing pinches when the case closes.
