Retractable cord reel for full-size canister vacuums built on the S36, S38, 1700 and 1800 chassis. The reel carries the retraction spring, the electrical contacts and the power cord itself, so one part restores both the rewind action and the feed to the motor.

Reels fail in two recognizable ways. The spring loses tension and the cord no longer pulls back into the body, or the contacts wear and the vacuum flickers when the cord is tugged at an angle. Both are cured by fitting a new reel rather than by splicing the cord. The 15A PCB fuse used across the same canister family is listed as 5FJGD1532R. Ships to you in 2-5 business days.
