HS502190 is the coupler that joins a Hide-A-Hose mini cuff hose to a Ready Grip handle. Its usual job is bridging generations: if you have replaced a hose with the newer mini cuff style but kept an older handle, this is the adapter that lets the two work together instead of buying a whole new handle.
It is a glued fitting rather than a mechanical catch. Depending on how your parts sit, it cements onto the handle or onto the mini cuff, so decide which side it belongs on and dry-fit the whole assembly before any cement comes out of the tube. A coupler glued to the wrong piece is not a decision you get to revisit.
The joint where a flexible hose meets a rigid handle takes constant twisting, since every pull and turn of the hose puts torque through that one point. Over time the plastic can craze or crack at the mating face, and a cracked coupler admits air right at the handle. That reads as suction falling away at the grip while the rest of the hose still pulls normally.
