Readivac RH2000 Storm Diffuser / Separator

This diffuser and separator, part RH2000-P208, is a replacement for Readivac's RH2000 Storm hand vac. A diffuser sits inside the airflow path of a bagless hand vac and directs incoming air and debris toward the collection cup rather than letting it swirl loose inside the housing.

When a diffuser cracks, warps, or its seal wears down, air finds a shortcut around the part instead of through it. The usual symptom is suction that feels weaker than it should even though the cup is empty and clean, or dust that seems to drift back out of the vent instead of staying trapped in the cup.

Because the part is small and often overlooked, it is easy to spend time chasing a suction problem elsewhere on the machine before checking it. If the cup and any filter are already clean and the vacuum still underperforms, pulling the diffuser and inspecting it for hairline cracks or a warped edge is worth doing before assuming the motor is at fault.
