Product details

This 4-gallon dirt container, part 120312, replaces Beam part numbers 120305 and 120306 on the Beam 189C central vacuum power unit. It hangs beneath the motor and catches the dust and debris the system draws in from every inlet in the house.

The bin only works as well as its seal against the power unit. A cracked or warped container breaks that seal, and once it does, suction drops throughout the house rather than at a single location, and debris can find its way up toward the motor where it does not belong.

Plastic collection containers age from years of emptying and from sitting in a utility space that sees temperature swings, and the failure is rarely sudden. Most owners notice a slow decline in whole-house suction over several weeks before they ever spot the crack that caused it, so it is worth checking the container itself before assuming the motor or the pipe network is at fault.

  • Part: 120312, replaces 120305 and 120306
  • Fits: Beam 189C central vacuum
  • Capacity: 4 gallons
  • Tip: confirm your power unit model before ordering, since Beam central vacuum bins come in more than one size

A fresh container drops in without modification and restores the airtight seal the system needs to hold suction at every inlet.
