Dirt Devil Soap Tank Pick U...

Product details

This is the pick-up tube filter for the soap tank on the Dirt Devil CE7900 carpet cleaner, part 1790756000, and it also covers the Royal RY7910 and RY7940. It sits on the end of the tube that draws cleaning solution out of the tank, straining the fluid before it reaches the pump.

What you notice when it blocks is not a leak or a noise but a dry pass: you pull the trigger and less solution reaches the carpet than it used to, so a stain that would once have lifted in one pass now takes three. The filter clogs with the sediment that settles out of solution over time, particularly if the machine sits between jobs with fluid still in the tank.

A clean screen restores steady flow and keeps grit out of the pump, which is the expensive part of that circuit and the one you are really protecting.
