Product details
The standard door on a Hide-A-Hose 6000 PRO valve trims out to a finished wall of one inch. Part HS600051 is the extension for anything thicker: three quarters of an inch of added depth that glues onto the door so it still sits flush against the wall face.
Walls pass that one inch mark more often than people expect. Tile backer over drywall, a doubled layer of board for sound, a furred out exterior wall or a heavy plaster skim all push the finished surface past what the standard door reaches, and it rarely becomes obvious until the trim goes on and the door sits recessed or refuses to close flat.
Extensions stack. Where a wall is unusually thick, more than one can be glued together to make up the difference, so the fix scales with the wall instead of forcing the rough-in box to be cut out and reset.
Measure the finished wall thickness at the valve before ordering and work out how far past one inch you are, then dry-fit before gluing. Correcting a gap after the trim is painted and installed is a great deal more work than getting the depth right at this stage. Measure at the valve itself rather than at a nearby switch plate, since the wall can pick up an extra layer over a short run, and if the number lands close to a boundary, order for the thicker reading. A door standing slightly proud is a cosmetic complaint that can be shimmed out; a door that cannot reach the wall face at all is a return.
