Black dust cover latch assembly for Simplicity Symmetry upright vacuums, sold as part C224-0014. The latch holds the bag compartment cover shut. When it fails, the cover either will not stay closed or has to be forced down, and both cost you the sealed air path the machine needs to clean properly.
This is the factory assembly rather than a universal substitute, so it lines up with the original mounting points on the Symmetry body.
