Replacement dust cover latch body (part B480-0814) for MV series Riccar and Simplicity upright vacuums. The latch body is the fixed catch that the cover snaps into, holding the bag compartment door closed while the vacuum runs.
Once this piece wears or cracks, the cover no longer seats tightly. The compartment can spring open mid-clean, or it can leak air ahead of the bag, which quietly costs you suction at the nozzle even with fresh filters fitted.
