This replacement dust packing seals the dust collection path in the Kenmore upright, fitting a broad range of 116-series models, including 116.30611000C through 116.30611003C, 116.30613000C through 116.30613004C, the 116.31040900 through 116.31040907 series, 116.31811010, 116.39050900, and 116.39055900. It closes the gaps where fine dust could otherwise slip past.
A worn or compressed packing lets dust leak out during vacuuming and bleeds away suction at the same time. Fitting fresh packing reseals the collection system so airflow stays strong and dirt stays where it belongs.
